Cornish Harbour 1951
Lithograph on wove paper; 50.5 x 63 cms
Provenance: Private Collection
This print from an edition of 60 was made at the lithography studio in Corsham. It shows the harbour at Mousehole in Cornwall where Scott would spend his summers, whilst living in Hallatrow in Somerset. Scott saw this work as a logical development from an earlier painting of 1939 done at Port Manech near Pont-Aven, which he described as 'one of the first pictures in which my concern was with large empty spaces'.
