Alan Davie (1920-2014)

Born in Grangemouth, Scotland and attended Edinburgh College of Art from 1937 to 1940. Davie has exhibited with Gimpel Fils in London from 1950 until the present, and has maintained a studio in Cornwall for many years. Works are held by many major international collections, including New York's Museum of Modern Art, Tate Gallery and others.
